On May 24th, the Immigration Clinic will host a seminar for community members interested in learning more about asylum law and policy. This seminar will cover the basics of asylum law and procedure, the challenges applicants face, and how to support asylum seekers in our community. Director Stacy Kern-Scheerer and IJC Fellow Nicole Alanko will present.
Tickets are available at this link through Eventbrite, and will be on sale until Friday, May 21st. All proceeds from the event will go to the Immigration Clinic to support our work representing immigrants in Hampton Roads.
This presentation will be hosted online via Zoom and in English. It will not require a background in law, and will not qualify for CLE credit.
