The Immigration Clinic Celebrates International Women’s Day

On International Women’s Day, the Immigration Clinic honors immigrant women and girls who come from all around the world to call Hampton Roads home.

The immigrant women and girls that the Clinic serves are resilient in the face of many adversities. Some have left their home countries to seek freedom from violence and torture in their home countries. They have suffered violence by police, gangs, and abusive partners for standing up for equal rights. Still others came to the United States to seek a better life, and were hurt and abused here by those closest to them. Living, working, and going to school in Hampton Roads, these women and girls are part of our communities and make Virginia better every day.

The Clinic is honored to serve incredible women and girls so that they may continue their lives in the United States.
